The company has always tried to lower the effects of leather production cycle on the environment by investing capital and resources in research and development. The goal has been reached following two directives. In the first place, Junior tannery has made it so that every stage of the production cycle, which turns raw hides into finished leather, had the lowest environmental impact possible. Secondly, the company focused on providing products respectful of the ecosystem. Accordingly, the use of highly polluting materials, such as chrome and other heavy metals applied in hides’ tannage and finishing, has decreased. Junior tannery opts for products like “wet-white” leather, chrome-free and heavy metal-free, having a lower impact on the environment.
In the last years, the company has invested more and more to find solutions to reduce the environmental footprint. Through the usage of recycled packages, the research for substances as natural as possible, the orientation towards energy saving, and water waste reduction policies was possible to better monitor the company’s performance and to optimize procedures and required standards. All this to offer tangible responses to the great quality challenge.
The company’s challenge is to grant perfection while choosing, processing, and finishing raw materials within the arrangements determined with the client. From the very beginning, Junior tannery committed to developing high-quality, completely Italian products with eco-friendly production processes.
